NMMS – National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship is a Centrally sponsored scholarship scheme. It is implemented by the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development with the objective to financially support the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the society. NMMS encourages disadvantaged students to continue their studies at the secondary level by offering a scholarship amount of INR 12,000 per annum. Every year, this MCM scholarship is made active during the month of November and almost 100,000 scholarships are disbursed among bright students.
The National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is provided by the MHRD, Government of India. There are approx. 1 lac NMMS scholarships granted to the students every year. The students have to appear in the written entrance exam of NMMS 2020 scholarship to become eligible. NMMS 2020 exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 12, 13 and 20. The exam of NMMS 2020 scholarship is conducted by the State Council of Education Research Training (SCERT) for their respective state.
NMMS exam 2020 application form has been released by various states and some states will soon release the application form. The NMMS Scholarship registration 2020 will be available in both online and offline mode. The students who will qualify the NMMS exam 2020 with minimum required marks will be eligible to get the scholarship amount. The maximum NMMS scholarship is INR 12000 p. a. for every individual student.

- Test Duration – The duration for MAT and SAT
will be 90 minutes each. - Marking Scheme – Each question will carry one
mark. There will be no negative marking. - Exam Mode – NMMS exam 2020 will be held in
offline or pen and paper-based mode. - Exam Type – All questions will be objective
type. Out of 4 possible answers, students have to select only one correct. - For relevant NMMS exam books, students can
refer to the NCERT Class 8th Books only. - NMMS MAT section tests a candidate’s reasoning
and critical thinking skills. The questions will be based on analogy,
pattern perception, classification, hidden figures etc. - Students have to attain at least 40% marks
(32% for SC/ST) both MAT & SAT papers.
